Join the Education Revolution on Facebook

When you think of the world’s greatest revolutions, which come to mind? For me, it’s the ones led by Ghandi, Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr.
These great leaders created change, one step at a time, leaping over hurdles and across cultures. They are also great inspiration for my effort to create a revolution in education.
However, supporters are inherent to the notion of a revolution. A great leader is no one without a great team. This is why I turn to you in asking for support.

This week on Facebook, we are introducing the UoPeople badge, a small icon for your profile picture. This not only signals your support of our cause, but also your commitment to help us spread the word.
Imagine: if every UoPeople fan (we have over 60,000 on Facebook!) added the badge to their profiles, we could easily reach over 7 million people through their networks. Our revolution can start with you.
With this in mind, I hope you will take 3 minutes out of your day to update your profile.
Learn how here.
Have you uploaded the UoPeople badge yet?

About President Shai Reshef

Starting in 1989, Shai Reshef served as chairman of the Kidum Group, a test preparation company, which he sold in 2005 to Kaplan, one of the world’s largest education companies. While chairman of Kidum, he built an online university affiliated with the University of Liverpool, enrolling students from more than 100 countries; that business was sold to Laureate, another large for-profit education company, in 2004. A vessel for universal higher education, UoPeople has the enormous potential to function as a global stimulus package, reaching even the most remote and poorest places on earth. Our ultimate mission is to democratize higher education and, if the past two years are any indication, this is not merely a pipe dream.
